Bienvenue (welcome) to Le Bonheur Guesthouse! We provide five-star service at a three-star rate!
A brief bit of history might interest the weary traveller who seeks the luxury of home-cooked meals and comfortable furnishings.
Our house was built in 1903, and used as living quarters for children orphaned during the Second Anglo-Boer War, which lasted from 1899 to 1902.
Thereafter, the house was used as a dormitory for the College of Education, and in 1981, it was remodelled to ensure comfort, although the original
building and woodwork was left intact, to ensure that the charming Cape-Dutch personality of the house lives on.
Please contact us for more information, a quotation for accommodation, or simply a friendly chat.
Our lovely house contains six en-suite rooms (superbly decorated, I might add), along with six studio apartments, and the Tourism Grading Council
of South Africa categorize us as a three-star guesthouse. Breakfast is served daily, and dinner and lunch packs are available on request. Other
amenities include laundry, Wi-Fi, DSTV and undercover parking.
Visit your ‘home-away-from-home’ for a stay to remember, fantastic food, good company and a reasonable rate.
